On Sunday the 28th day of August, our family marked with a Special Thanksgiving service the remembrance of the passing onto glory of our mother and the Matriarch of the Ikpeazu family, Lady Eunice Ifechukwu Obuzeme Chuba Ikpeazu.

Mama's memorial was done at Daddy's Church, Our Saviour Church, Inland Town, Onitsha and it was a roller-coaster of emotions for me as I remembered Mama within the walls of Daddy's legacy, I miss them both but I am comforted by the knowledge that they are both in a better place, interceding on our behalf and looking out for us.

The memorial service provided an invaluable opportunity for the entire family to come together in mama's memory. It was great seeing several generations of our family blossoming and doing well in their chosen fields of endeavours. I remain grateful and thankful to the Almighty for this.

We were joined from far and wide by our friends and well-wishers, including but nit not limited to my friend and colleague in the House Committee on Maritime Safety, Education and Administration, Dr. Bashir Jamoh, Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, my sister and colleague in the National Assembly, Senator (Princess) Stella Oduah, the Onitsha Ado N'Idu Traditional Council, the Onitsha Improvement Union, and most importantly, members of all Lynda Chuba Ikpeazu Support Groups, I say thank you to everyone who came out that and in one or another, contributed either their presence or the donation of their time, talent or treasure to ensuring that Mama's Memorial Service was a success.

Daalụ nụ rinne, I owe you all an irredeemable debt but I would start by offering you a bouquet of the ubiquitous words of gratitude THANK YOU, THANK YOU, and THANK YOU.
With all my love and gratitude,
Honourable Lynda Chuba Ikpeazu
Onitsha North and South Federal Constituency.
